Technology agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) arranged the Opening conference and matchmaking on 25 and 26 November 2019 to connect project partners within the Call for Proposals of the KAPPA Programme. KAPPA Programme financed by EEA and Norway Grants is focused on supporting applied research and strengthening international cooperation. A total of 90 representatives of enterprises and research organizations from Czechia, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein attended the event.

The conference was opened by the TA CR Chairman Petr Konvalinka, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Czech Republic Robert Kvile, a deputy of the National Focal Point for EEA and Norway Grants Jiri Hodik and a deputy of the agency The Research Council of Norway Lenka Hannevold. Next, Dominika Paclikova from TA CR provided the presentation about the KAPPA Programme and the detailed information of the Call for Proposals which has been launched a few days ago (the presentation is HERE). The representative of the Czech National Agency for International Education Jana Hurska mentioned the potential synergy with the Programme Education within EEA and Norway Grants and Katerina Jirsova closed the presentations with a successful project from the previous programme period.

The matchmaking for finding potential partners followed the opening conference and around 50 Czech representatives and a dozen of Norway and Iceland representatives attended the event. During the afternoon, the representatives presented their project plans to the other participants with the help of the facilitators. A lot of potential partnerships were established also during the evening networking. The bilateral meetings were organised during the second day and the individual project plans were further discussed and project proposal drafted during these meetings.

The participants and all who is interested in Call for Proposal of the KAPPA Programme can use the web application matchmakingkappa.cz with the information primarily about the potential project partners, about the KAPPA Programme, the agenda and schedule of the event and more useful information. It is possible to register into the application until the call is closed at the end of February 2020. Afterwards, it will be possible to use it as a source of valuable information.
