Project description:

The main objective of the project is to create appropriate conditions for the resocialization and reintegration of clients and to support the involved clients in the positive aspects of their development and to activate them to solve their problems.

The project involves a total of 5 prisons (Jiřice, Kynšperk, Hradec Králové, Světlá, Všehrdy) including the Norwegian partner Apenhet and the personnel and educational agency DP WORK s.r.o.

The Mentoring Programme focuses on working with offenders both in prison and after their release. All service that will be offered - work, education, debt resolution, solving legal problems, family/children issues - are highly motivational and call to action for clients.  The regular involvement of a mentor, dealing with the transition to freedom together, preparing for a new stage in life, contact with family, etc. are activities aimed specifically at positive change for the client.

By linking the activities of state institutions and NGOs, continuity and comprehensiveness of services in the field of prevention of undesirable behaviour of persons will be achieved. The qualified approach of professional staff and trained mentors will support the client in making positive changes in his/her life and thus reduce the risk of recidivism.
