Summary:

The project focuses on empowering Roma families using a proven community organization methodology developed during the project promoter's campaigns to enroll Roma children in non-segregated schools.

The goal of the project is to empower parents to the extent that they become actively involved in the educational process, motivate their children and become full partners of the school. By introducing the principles of effective communication between Roma parents and the school, the barriers that prevent a Roma child from pursuing higher education will be reduced. In addition, information, motivation and ethno-emancipation will be worked on with Roma children in the second cycle of primary schools.

One of the activities of the project will be suburban camps, where a positive relationship with school will be built, pupils will be introduced to several positive role models of successful educated Roma, and Roma pupils will be educated about Roma history, culture and language and their "Romipen" will be strengthened.

The project will address the problem of lack of communication with parents and the dropout of Roma children from primary education. The result will be a methodology for communication between the school and Roma parents.
