Project description:

The aim of the project is to improve the situation of victims of domestic and gender-based violence by strengthening the capacity of the prevention and assistance system. The project aims to increase the availability of specialised services for victims of domestic and gender-based violence and immediate crisis assistance.

The project aims to increase the availability of immediate crisis assistance to victims of domestic and gender-based violence in outpatient, residential and telephone form (establishment of a new crisis centre and a free 24-hour telephone line) and to increase the safety of particularly vulnerable victims through the innovative technology of SOS buttons for immediate assistance. Thanks to this technology, it will also be possible to make it more efficient to call for help for particularly vulnerable victims, such as elderly women, migrants or people with disabilities.

Thanks to the project, the Academy of Specialized Assistance will be opened for social service providers who have a registered target group of victims of domestic violence, but lack specific procedures and standards for working with victims. In order to strengthen the specialisation of these organisations, the availability of assistance for victims in the regions will be increased.

The project will have a positive impact on increasing the capacity and availability of specialised services for victims of domestic and gender-based violence, on reducing the latency rate of this problem and it will help victims to seek help in time. The project will help to eliminate discrimination against particularly vulnerable groups victims: Roma women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, migrants, LGBT+ persons.
