Project description:

The presented project addresses the lack of social and cultural activities in the Antonín Dvořák Birth House, which is a cultural monument located in the village of Nelahozeves, near Prague. Given the historical importance of this site for both Czech and world music history, the project aims to take advantage of this potential: following a high-quality reconstruction, a technologically innovative permanent exhibition should be installed on its premises, focused on the life and work of the world-famous composer.

The exhibition will be completely innovative both in terms of the technology used and considering the curatorial concept, which puts great emphasis on interactive and educational elements. The project represents a unique approach to how to work with the visitor, who will be attracted not only by the visual and design solution, but also by specific sound systems that represent an additional communication channel and provide the possibility to enjoy qualitative individual listening to music.

Thanks to this concept, the visitor will have the opportunity to get to know the personality of the world-renowned composer and his work from different perspectives, which provides a unique museum experience. Another benefit will be an increase in tourist turnover in the area, which will benefit both the village itself and the Central Bohemian Region.

Antonín Dvořák's Birth House and the museum on its premises will undoubtedly become a popular place for the local community and tourists, as well as a suitable place for learning about the history of Czech music, attending education programs, getting inspired by the use of new technologies and experiencing the pleasure of listening to concerts of classical music
