On 14th November 2014, the Open Society Fund Prague as the Programme Operator of Let´s Give (Wo)men a Chance Programme is opening the second round of calls for submission of applications for grants. A total of 21.5 million CZK will be distributed for small grants focusing on equal opportunities and domestic violence prevention.

The Let’s Give (Wo)men a Chance programme promotes equal opportunities for women and men, both in professional and personal life, as well as the prevention of and help for victims of domestic and gender-based violence in the Czech Republic.

The programmes are supposed to help spread flexible working hours and other forms of flexible work schemes for parents of pre-school children, to ensure the general availability of child-care facilities for the age group of 0-6 years and to raise awareness of gender issues and provide gender audits of public policies from gender perspective. The programme aims also to support the development of services for persons endangered by domestic violence and at the prevention or reduction of this phenomenon.

Municipalities, regions, companies, academia, and non-governmental and other organisations can apply for the grants.

The deadline for submission of applications is on 14th January 2015.
