Film festival Norsk uke / Norwegian week, realized as the bilateral initiative within Fund for Bilateral Relations at Programme Level - “B” measure, programme CZ06, will be held from May 21 to May 27, 2015 in the cinema Ponrepo.

Norwegian week is organised by the National Film Archive in partnership with the Norwegian National Library, which will lend most of the film copies for the screenings. Dramaturgy is ensured by Frisvold Eirik Hanssen, who is going to present the majority of films personally.

Festival further develops the cooperation between the NFA and the Norwegian National Library, which began last year within the project „Digital Restoration of Czech Film Heritage“, that is supported by the grant of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic. Festival is also supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Prague.

The opening ceremony of the film festival Norsk uke / Norwegian week will be held on Thursday May 21, 2015 from 6 PM in the cinema Ponrepo with the screening of the famous silent film Laila (1929). The festival will continue to Wednesday May 27, 2015, presenting films: silent movie Laila (1929), modernist film about love triangle Jagten (1959), film about wars traumas Kalde spor (1962), feministic classic movie Hustruer (1975), psychologic thiller Insomnia (1997), surrealistic comedy Salmer fra kjøkkenet / Kitchen stories (2003) and satiric studies Reprise (2006).
