People in Need is a leading Czech NGO working in various areas (relief and development aid, social work in excluded localities etc.) established in 1992. Varianty Educational Department, one of People in Need sections, that would carry out planned project focuses on training teaching assistants in working with pupils with special educations needs and also promoting global development education in schools.

The project aims to share good practise of inclusive education from Norway to Czech Republic. In the Czech Republic teaching assistants are one of crucial elements for educating pupils with special educational needs and therefore we would like to share experience from Norway as a country with longer history of inclusive education. The project shall focus on sharing good practice from Norwegian schools in terms of work of teaching assistants. In cooperation with a Norwegian partner organization (NGO, school, university) we would like to train teaching assistants in the Czech Republic and provide long-term methodological support and supervision to teaching assistants.
